I publish BlackWeb20.com, a blog that analyzes emerging web trends as it relates to African-Americans and African-American culture. I consider it one of my children. My partner in crime is Markus Robinson, we own Black Web Media together which owns Black Web 2.0 and a new site called Vocay (a job board). We plan to build many other sites together, our mission is to make innovative and inclusive ideas on the web for African-Americans a reality. My other work experience spans a variety of industries including consultative relationships with companies such as UPS, Bizjournals.com, Realestate.com, and Lendingtree.com among others. When fortunate I also speak on topics such as diversity in the web and media industries, web trends, web strategy, and web 2.0’s effects on urban entertainment. I have participated on panels at conferences such as South by Southwest, Experience Music Project Pop Conference, Blogher, Social Networking Conference and a few others. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications with a specialization in Digital Design. I have also completed postgraduate coursework in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. In addition to the properties I own with Black Web Media and speaking I presently lead Design and Digital Strategy at RushmoreDrive.com, an IAC Company. Above all else and what I hold most dear are the labels that I am given by those closest to me...Mother, Daughter, Sister, Idealist.
